I’m going to Chicago in October, and I’m tempted to go back and add a bunch of exclamation points to the title of this blog post. I’m excited, okay? Soooooo excited!
I’ve only gone on 2 vacations as an adult, so it’s a big deal for me to travel anywhere. I live in Missouri, so Chicago isn’t too far away. That’s why it’s the perfect destination for my 3rd vacation.
I’m going to drive there with my kids so I can turn a business trip into a family vacation. They happen to have a day off from school the first day of the Moms Meet WOW Summit, so it works out perfectly.
I’m guessing you’re not here to read my life story, though. You probably want to know more about this awesome summit for moms.
Here’s a handy infographic:
If you’re a mommy blogger – or even a mom who blogs about stuff that has nothing to do with parenting – you’ll love this summit. There are workshops, crafts, and product samples. You even get free lunch (and cocktails!) if you come on Friday. For the record, I’m going on Friday and Saturday.
Moms Meet was generous enough to hook me up with free tickets for myself and a blogger buddy, and my kids are also going for free. I don’t have free tickets for my readers (sorry, guys!) but I do have a promo code you can use (FYI, the FTC says I have to tell you that I get a kickback if you use my promo code):

Okay, let’s backtrack a bit. You may have noticed that I said I’m bringing my kids. That’s because Moms Meet lets you bring kids under the age of 17 for free, but they do ask that you sneak out of workshops early if your kiddos become disruptive. There’s no childcare provided, so only bring your kids if you think they can handle attending the event with you. I’m praying mine are up for the challenge lol.
If you or your kids have allergies, you’ll be happy to know that the WOW Summit 2017 has a special Allergy-Free Zone in the Expo Hall. I plan on checking that out while I’m there.
I’m also excited to listen to the inspirational speakers and take part in the parenting workshops (especially the panel discussion called “Balancing Work and Motherhood” on Friday afternoon). I’m totally bringing a notebook so I can write down all the helpful tips I pick up while I’m there. Yeah, I could just use my smartphone, but I prefer to kick it old-school style with a spiral notebook and pen.
Oh, and did I mention there are free goodie bags for attendees?
I can’t wait to see what fun surprises I get in my goodie bag. Each goodie bag contains swag valued at $100+, which is awesome. I’m hoping for samples and coupons from some of the awesome brands I’ve worked with via Moms Meet, such as Once Again Nut Butter, Restore, PACT Organic, and Himalaya Botanique.
Does this sound like an event you’d enjoy just as much as me?
